Chinese New Year
We were very excited to unexpectedly stumble across the Chinese New Year celebrations around Trafalgar Square and China Town on Sunday. Little M aged four was fascinated and had just been learning at school about this being the year of the Dragon. He has found out that he was born in the year of the Pig and I know I was born in the year of the Rat. All very interesting stuff! :)
Last of the flock...
That's it, the last of my flock has joined the wide wide world of big school. Fortunately he seems to be going in happily although is a little unsettled at night. I fear we will now have power battles, after all he is a big boy now.
Happy New Year
Onwards and upwards don't they say? It's been a tough year for the children and I so I look towards 2012 with baited breath and hope that this will be our year. That at last things will go our way and we can start rebuilding our lives.
I love candles, they can represent so much so today on the first day of 2012 I bring you beautiful scented Kenneth Turner candles.
Wishing you all a happy healthy and prosperous new year. X

The London Marathon 2010
Four of the children and I went and watched the London Marathon yesterday in which two of our friends were running.
We started off at mile 19, Canary Wharf. Then moved on to mile 23 which is at The Monument and then to the finish line. We were exhausted .......not quite as much as the runners though.
A Safe Haven
This little man lives in our garden along with twenty of his pals and their offspring. They know they have a safe haven here and won't end up on our dinner plates! ;0)
Dinner
I'm back on my vegan diet again.....this was one part of tonight's dinner- Lemon and Fennel Coleslaw. I'll be posting the recipe on the other blog at some point. Daughter one has a Victorian day tomorrow, sigh, so I have to try and find something suitably Victorian for her to wear in my wardrobe. Hmmm, that's going to very tough. My life may be virtuously victorian but my wardrobe certainly isn't! ;0) Then I have to read what she is allowed to have in her packed lunch.....no cheese strings I suppose?
Wimbledon Star of the future
He is the latest one of my children with fantastic hand eye co-ordination...maybe he will be the one who will want to be the next British tennis star!!
Two years old! Little M.
I'm so excited Mum!
I was just about to take a picture of two year old Little M with our dog Jet in the background when he suddenly noticed his grandparents turn up....he couldn't get there quick enough. He has been looking forward for days for them to come.
